Was Prey worth the time?

No Predator sequel has ever lived up to the original. Prey (2022) returns to the simplicity of the original. However, it is more stripped down than the original and feels raw and horrible. You never know whether the main characters remain safe. It is reminiscent of Revenant. Brilliant setting, but I wondered if the movie would overcomplicate the plot. Prey (2022) is less successful than The Predator. It thrives when it is quiet (just before each attack). Trachtenberg is the best sequel of two franchises. His ability to utilize the time period and deliver is obvious, but the (new update) movie’s atmosphere is its best feature. The movie creates a feeling of dread and moodiness. This feeling fuels film's final act's intensity. It's slow at first, but the movie's purpose is to build characters.
